Visits to Literacy Classes with District 2451 Committee
On August 19, our members paying a visit to our 4 literacy classes to supervise and to encourage the learners to persevere in their studies. A monthly visit at least by mem-bers of our literacy subcommittee is observed.

Ramadan Bags Distribution
People were so generous and we had so many Ramadan bags to give out so we ex-tended our work and went to Al Mostaqbal in 6 October to give the needy.

'Eid Clothes Fair at Moss offices at the KG in collaboration with MISUD and Sona3 el Hayah
October Shams and NGO Sonaa El Hayyahhave collaborated their efforts and orga-nized Eid clothes Fair at MOSS Offices in the Al Awla Bel Reaaia Area, in 6th of Octo-ber city. The prices were very minimal which has reflected positively on the families and made them very happy.

Inauguration of the football pitch by HE Minister Dr. Laila Iskandar
The honorable Dr. Laila Iskandar, Minister of State for Urban Renewal and Informal Settlements inaugurated the football pitch donated by RC October Shams and attended the distribution of food packs and Eid cookies donated by the aforesaid club together with RC Heliopolis Nozha, and RC Kasr El Nil.
The event were honored by the presence of distinguished governmental and Rotary officials including 6th of October City Chairman and 2 of his VPs, DG Adel Hafez, AG Alaa Koura, AG Shahira Assem, PAG Yasser Nashaat, P Samia El Azab and a wonder-ful group of Rotary club members.

Visit to literacy classes at Abou El Nomoros
3 club members of RC October Shams visited the 3 literacy classes in the village of Tamouh, Giza. The visited classes were using the CLE system adopted by the Rotary Literacy committee of D2451.

Blood donation drive at El Rabwa Mosque
In response to the initiative of D2451 Disaster Relief Committee,RC Shams October ar-ranged for a blood drive in front of El Rabwa mosque, where 23 bags were collected in one night.

Ramadan Food Bags Project
This year RC Shams October gave the Ramadan Bags a new scope. Bags from a strong reusable fabric with Rotary colors, name and logo were designed and tailored by the club members.
The club bought the food in bulk, 20 members met in Baisch factory and formed 2 lines to pack 600 bags. 100 bags were donated and distributed privately by the mem-bers. The remaining 500 bags were distributed in the club
