Eid Feast Used Clothes Sale to benefit Royal Hills compound workers

Eid was at the door!! Our club members tried to add a smile on the faces of the workers of Royal Hills compound in 6th October City. Our active members of rotary club 6th of October Shams organized a used clothes sale to help them buy their eid clothes at lowest prices. It was much appreciated as the clients found very good quality clothes for themselves and their children at minimal prices. A big thank you to everyone who contributed clothes to this endeavor and especially those many residents of Palm Hills who filled the clothes donation box we keep at their compound.

Interactors visit to orphanage

RC Shams October Interactors paid a visit to Ragheb Orphanage in 6th October City.
Interactors, ages between 12 and 18, had a great time with the orphans, playing with them & giving them some gifts.
Being involved in community service at this young age will surely help our young Interactors be more ethically caring & giving.
Thanks to their dedicated mentor, our fellow Rotarian, Mai Mandour & her great team for their great effort in making this happen.

Our Interact Club of 6th of October Shams participated in this successful event where 8 special needs children and 2 supervisors were invited and our Interactors learnt how to apply this special methodology in community service projects and dealing with others. A big applause to our young leaders!

Support of Orphanage

Our Shams October club members were graced today by visiting an orphanage in October City. The orphanage run by a couple who lost their only son and who dedicated their life for children. Donations from McDonald's, Zero to Five Toys and Nola Bakery managed to draw a smile on the faces of the children. A lovely Easter basket was offered to the kids to color the eggs themselves and this made them really ecstatic! Best thing our fellow Rotarian Hanaa Ragheb impressed us all by bringing along her grandchildren.
